You're thinking about upgrading to a newer motherboard with better chipsets, but the upcoming CPU releases don't change that. The x570 and b550 chipsets will still be supported, so your current setup remains viable for now.

No need for new chipsets. AMD has released BIOS updates for the B550 and X570 models.

Check if x570 and b550 boards work with your 2600x setup until you upgrade the chip. I’ll likely need a new board soon to resolve the DIMM slot problem. Thanks!

The B550 also supports 2600x, but there might be other factors preventing it from working.

I own a Crosshair VII hero that I was counting on lasting long, but after testing, I think the issue is with a faulty DIMM slot. I’m set to upgrade to PCI 4.0 and have a 2600x ready for a 5800X.
