none of other the jacks in the rear io output anything, i may be missing something here however edit: there is static noise in 1 other jack in the rear io also. i have tried installing all the software on the motherboard page for windows and no help there. the same audio issues persist on linux.
After connecting the headphones to another port, you can access the software that comes with your sound card or navigate through the control panel and sound settings. On my machine, I launched the Realtek app by searching for "realtek audio console," but it didn’t appear in the usual menu. Clicking Device Advanced settings revealed a different interface. For the green jack, I selected an alternative option. The orange and gray jacks also work similarly, though the software name changed depending on your motherboard brand—often it’s labeled with Asus or S1200/S1220 chips instead of "Realtek Audio Console."
Check if the volume is set to 100% on Windows. Have a USB-C to 3.5mm active adapter available, perhaps a DAC/AMP. Would you like to test the PC on another wall outlet using a different power strip?
The percentage range doesn't affect the volume of the background noise. I might have a USB adapter somewhere that's hard to locate. ---- I captured a brief, possibly unclear video, but I discovered something unusual that I believe could be out of the ordinary. If you're familiar with what's happening, I'd really value your assistance. I'm considering reaching out to the reseller to have the board replaced.
I think the issue could be related to ground pin voltage in the wall outlet or a malfunctioning power strip. Ground voltage would flow through the power supply unit to the board and then to all components using the ground connection.
I discovered that once I launched a display server on Linux (using Wayland with Xorg), the noise resurfaced but didn’t happen in the tty. This behavior is unusual. I haven’t experienced problems with this power strip before, and I also tried another one—power strip versus wall outlet—but neither resolved the issue.
