Audio problems during onboard playback
Hi, I recently swapped out my motherboard and CPU, but now I’m facing audio problems where only one speaker works and there’s static on the other. I’ve tried updating the BIOS, but nothing helped. My setup is a Ryzen 9 3900X with an ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus and 1.25v 38x.
I didn't encounter any problems with my old CPU and motherboard. The headphones functioned properly and continue to work well with all my other devices.
They have built-in audio connectors on the motherboards, but I attempted to install the Realtek driver and it didn’t work.
Connect the headphones to the other audio ports... contemporary sound cards automatically recognize them and will identify your devices. The green port offers superior clarity (reduced background noise, stronger signal if the motherboard includes an extra amplifier chip), though it still functions with other ports. If both work equally well, the issue likely lies with the motherboard itself. Should everything operate normally, the problem may be a faulty audio jack or an incompatible headphone amplifier built into the board. It’s also possible the software—operating system or drivers—is involved, though that seems unlikely.
