On an i5 4440 with 8GB RAM at 1333MHz and a GTX 970, I achieved top performance in Crysis 3 at 1080p. You shouldn’t face any issues running GTA 5 anytime soon—Crysis 3 still works well on PC.

Even at 1024x1280 it seems unlikely to reach full capacity. That’s around 60% of the pixels in 1080p. It’s totally unrealistic to stay under it with a 970 resolution, honestly—what are you trying to say?

You're seeing issues because the resolution is too high for the quality you're requesting. Adjusting it to 1080p with lower detail should fix the problem.
