No, you didn't short the CMOS reset pins during battery removal.
I didn't intend to. I thought leaving the CMOS battery unused for some time would reset the settings.
I performed the necessary steps to reset the system: disconnected the PSU, turned off the power switch, removed the CMOS battery, and allowed the entire setup to sit undisturbed for 10 to 15 minutes.
I'm pretty sure my motherboard is no longer functioning. I've tried almost everything, but I'm listing what I attempted below in case someone else faces the same problem. I tried: Reseating RAM, Reseating GPU, Reseating CPU, Reconnecting VGA power cable (and moving its PSU slot), Removing CMOS battery and resetting it by bridging pins without power, Trying a different PCIe slot, Using an older GPU. If anyone has suggestions, let me know.
Seems to be an issue with this board. I have it too and i get random VGA light/ no displays either. A restart or two will take care of it, but it is really annoying and worrisome. I bought a new PSU thinking it was just my 80 bronze psu just being too cheap, but realizing it's the mobo based on so many people with this board having the same issue.
