Asus B550 gaming not working properly

Hi I have a new system from a friend that he got to boot once and play a game but after one shutdown it now refuses to post. Ive included the specs in the images. I have tried different ram in different slots. Used bios flashback to uodate bios Removed and replaced all cables. Checked voltages at motherboard from power supply and all good. Fans on system and gpu are spinning. No error codes or beeps. Tried with and without cooler. No pins bent on cpu. Monitor and hdmi cable are known good. Hdmi is plugged into gpu. What have i missed??? Help! Cheers

00 indicates the board is completely flat, just remove it if it's under warranty. If your friend is into RAM, consider changing to another brand—ASUS has poor RAM layout on their B550 and X570, causing significant bottlenecks (though speeds below 4000 should be fine). Buildzoid has a video showing the bad RAM setup on the B550X.

Consider shifting your memory to slot A2 (second from the left). Running without a cooler attached to your CPU won’t make much difference, especially during testing.

Did you review the instructions provided by ASUS for posting and searching on their website? The article for issue 00 highlights CPU problems and advises verifying the device's placement and ensuring the pins are in good condition.

I've changed positions and adjusted RAM, but nothing has worked with the two 16GB drives.

When it starts up, does it include any code? I’m wondering if it’s running without the CPU cooler, as shown in the photo—because the CPU could overheat even when not using Windows.

Try removing the CMOS battery to reset, perhaps theres something stuck in settings that needs to be cleared.

The issue isn't that power reaches the USB ports for the keyboard, but rather the CPU stays cool because it doesn’t need to.
