You don’t need to make any changes at all. The method I described (using Windows Update Assistant) lets you skip editing anything completely. Just use the partitions from Windows 10 or your previous version without entering any BIOS settings—it works similarly to a standard Windows update.
I understand. With a USB drive offering 8GB or more, you can generate a Windows 11 installation disk using the official Microsoft tool: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11. If your license supports an upgrade to Windows 11, the setup won’t request a license key during the wizard. After launching the tool, connect the USB after completion and restart your computer. When the Dell boot screen appears, press F12 to start the process or wait for it to boot automatically.
