Assetto corsa ou projetos de carros?
Assetto Corsa offers improved emotion management and refined physics—though it still needs a wheel. A great game overall.
I'm not entirely confident, but watching both of them really motivates me to try racing sims.
The PC hasn't been released yet, but the demo is already out. I own both and believe I have several issues with Assetto. Do you like how the gameplay feels? I think I favor the PC version. The graphics look much better even though it's still a demo. What do you think about us?
I've been a dedicated sim racer for more than ten years, using both Assetto and pCARS. I believe pCARS offers a subtle improvement over Assetto—things you might only catch if you raced them side by side and paid close attention. For instance, the way trees cast shadows on the track, the global gamma and HDR visuals. pCARS feels marginally more authentic than AC. Currently, it supports dynamic weather, day/night cycles, and wipers. AC doesn’t have a wiper bind feature yet, which seems unnecessary at this point. Still, AC remains the most visually appealing racing simulation I’ve ever played (just remember I meant “sim,” not the game). Compared to that, pCARS stands out for its realism. The driving experience is exceptional—especially on tracks like Nord, where the force feedback is outstanding with a well-tuned Porsche 911 Turbo. Until then, AC delivers the most immersive feel I’ve ever had. Even with a good setup, AC still feels superior. The sound quality also shines; back fires from the exhaust sound more natural in pCARS, particularly when watching replays from a camera angle. Regarding performance, pCARS handles AI and multiplayer better than AC, which struggles with over a dozen AI options on my system. I’ve raced with more than ten AI in pCARS simulations, even on an older machine. While pCARS isn’t fully polished yet, it still offers a strong value compared to rFactor. If it improves its setup and delivers a smoother experience, especially in driving dynamics, it could edge out the competition. We’ll see how this unfolds.
maybe I'm not as dedicated to gaming as you are, but I really enjoy the Gran Turismo series. I mostly stick to PC games and avoid titles like NFS which aren't great. A few years back I stopped buying consoles after the PS3, and I still cherish my GT on PC. Honestly, I hoped for a better version of AC, but it hasn't lived up to expectations. Now I'm playing PC, and my first thoughts are positive so far. For an incomplete experience, it meets some of my requirements. I’m hoping the final version will be satisfying because I really want a solid and enjoyable racing game. AC is too challenging for me, and I don’t have much fun with it.
GT3 sparked my deep passion for "sim" racing. The PS2 controller soon turned into a Logitech Driving Force GT, driving me to accelerate the BMW M3 GTR around the track. After discovering the DFGT wheel could run on PC, I explored more realistic racing experiences. It hasn't been a console I've owned in years, and even longer since I tried playing with a controller, but that's where my journey began!
I completely agree with you. GT3 remains the best racing game I've ever played so far. It was truly impressive back then—it felt like a game-changer. GT4 is essentially the same experience as GT3, just with updated car models. For something similar to the GT series, AC is quite different and doesn't appeal to me much. I'm only on PC right now.
