RACE appears to be closely matched with Project CARS and Assetto in terms of driving experience, especially for those familiar with the series. Have you tried the RACE 07 lineup? It seems to lean more toward a GT feel compared to other options I know. Though it's a bit dated, it runs smoothly on today’s systems, offers many solid features, and should be affordable—especially with expansions included. Its appearance remains decent as well.
