I gathered some insights about this boss before meeting her, and others claim she embodies pure nonsense. The RNG initially eliminated her on the first attempt, which made sense to me. On the flip side, the Lothric princes are notorious for their reckless tactics—just slamming their sword down and delivering a powerful strike. And when they revive their fallen brother, it’s quite brutal. Anyone have advice on how to reduce the damage? I’m playing a balanced build with normal strength and dex, and I’ve been trying at least 20 attempts now. It’s frustrating.
It seems you're recalling a specific pattern in the fight. The "white shit" attack has a clear cue: Lorian moves away, stands still, and raises his sword high. When he disappears, look quickly to reposition and dodge when the sword falls. Lothric usually follows with his white spear, so keep an eye out for that. After Lorian falls, Lothric becomes exposed for a short time while he revives, giving you a chance to hit him. You might land several hits if you manage to reach his side or back. This fight is tough—expect around three to four kills, which is typical for Dark Souls. What makes it unique is how each player interprets the boss differently. I struggled a bit with the Dancer, but I think I spent more time on Lorian and Lothric than on the Nameless King, who’s often seen as the toughest.
The Lothric lords are vulnerable to cold and thrust-based attacks. Securing the Irithyll rapier and pushing your strategy can make it surprisingly simple, similar to how a dragonlayer suit simplifies combat. EDIT: occasionally you might briefly disrupt Lorian, though I’m unsure of the exact method to unlock him.
With enough stamina and a solid shield, you can win the battle by avoiding releasing your block. Minimal risk, big payoff, haha.
The sword slam has a clear signal. Hold back and move sideways. For reviving his sibling, you need to strike him in the back so the younger one dies. Both big and small weapons work if you're in the right spot.
The light slam Lorian performs appears to be nearly unblockable. You can attempt to stop it, but doing so costs you half your health and sends you back. It seems a better option than giving up completely.
This experience will help me avoid being overly greedy. I attempted to sneak a hit with my uchikatana, but even when I targeted the larger area on his sides, I accidentally hit the smaller side. It didn’t go well—he lost 0.5 cm of health. Still, I feel like I’m moving forward, and I understand the grand slam attack is obvious, but I keep struggling to avoid it.
