It seems you're expecting a higher frame rate, around 25-35 fps, which is typical for King of the Hill.

The game runs smoothly overall, though performance can vary. On some high-end setups I hit around 19 FPS, which feels impressive. However, the simulation works well if you're okay with occasional drops to around 40-60 FPS. The engine handles the game world well, even when it's not in focus, but it doesn't ignore anything completely.

Arma 3 tends to be more CPU-intensive, though it can vary based on settings and hardware.

It tends to be one of the more demanding games on the CPU. The need for extra CPU or GPU power varies based on missions, AI activity, and other factors in the game. In single-player with my 290, I usually hit around 60fps when using maximum settings and super sampling up to 1440p (though I haven’t played that long). Most multiplayer servers I encounter give around 25 FPS, which seems like a deliberate choice by Bohemia to match client-side performance.

X99 CPU may offer improved performance over Z97 CPU when running Arma 3, depending on your specific needs and system configuration.

No, four cores are better than six when purchasing for an arm. Opt for a Z97 instead.

I don't own ARMA 3, but I have Arma and Arma 2. It runs poorly without optimization—probably needs a 270x-280 or 760-770 Nvidia card. The maps are huge, supporting over 500 players at once.
