Are you the only one who ignores frame rate?
Are you the only one who ignores frame rate?
It's a really confusing question. For competitive play, I prioritize the highest possible frame rate to gain an advantage. But for casual games that look great, a lower frame rate can be acceptable if it enhances the visual appeal. Plus, social interactions still provide rewarding dopamine experiences that aren't always frequent.
Playing on a monitor with a high refresh rate and over 100 FPS offers such great quality that you won’t want to return. It’s similar to using HD650 headphones and then switching back to a cheap pair of Skullcandy headphones.
This seems to reflect a preference for higher refresh rates tailored to personal gaming needs. It's reasonable to seek better visuals for general use and adjust settings accordingly. While refresh rate is important, it shouldn't force a one-size-fits-all approach. The display market often doesn't accommodate diverse requirements like 4K, large sizes, or specific aspect ratios. It's frustrating when solutions don't fit individual preferences. Rocket League isn't something I've played, but it's a good reminder of how niche preferences can exist.
I recently began playing games again after a 12-year break. I wasn’t a competitive player back then, but now I enjoy smooth 60 fps and even better at 60. A bit lower is fine, but I definitely don’t want more than 60 fps. For me, 1080p on a 27-inch screen feels perfect.
I'm not entirely clear on what you're getting at. I mentioned that people generally care about fps, but in their own way. The phrase "I don't care, so you're all assholes" doesn't fit. I adjust settings to what feels right for me, and I'm curious if a 1080Ti can help boost a 1440p UW to over 500 fps. I need to tweak it myself. If my 1080p 1050Ti doesn't require adjustments, that makes sense too. But still, 1080p isn't perfect—what's going on? Did you miss my message or your comment? I was trying to show I'm not just focused on fps perfection. It seems like you might be reacting to someone else's point, not just me. The 4K curved panels aren't here yet, but that shouldn't stop progress. *shrug* You might have misunderstood my post.
