I relied on MS Security Essentials, thinking Windows Defender wasn't effective since it was developed by Microsoft.

I've been using Panda since March, along with MBAM (running weekly). My system stays as fresh as the first day. I usually check infected pages once or twice a month to test it, and it has worked so far. I've only seen 2 or 3 false positives (just a small hiccup) and the paid version popup appears only about once a week, which isn<|pad|>'s okay (Avast shows at least daily).
