Hello! You're experiencing lower-than-expected performance in AC Origins despite having a powerful RTX 3080. The average frames per second hovers around 110-130, with most sessions staying below 100 FPS. Even at high utilization, your GPU stays under 90% load while the CPU remains around 60%. It seems the GPU is getting hot (64°C) and possibly underpowered for the workload. Checking the game via GPU diagnostics suggests you should see closer to 170 FPS. Make sure your power supply is delivering stable output and consider monitoring real-time metrics during gameplay.

It seems the game runs better at higher resolutions, suggesting upscaling technology like DLSS is likely enabled.

Maybe, I didn’t tweak any options to make a direct comparison. I just pressed ultra and stopped. I’m not sure if benchmarks used DLSS or not. Appreciate the reply!

The high GPU utilization indicates a CPU limitation, and your frame rate remains significantly below the expected benchmark.

I included a screenshot in my main message. Concerning the bottleneck, are you asking if with your GPU already running, your CPU is the limiting factor? Would it help to upgrade to a faster CPU? Thanks for your reply.

Your processor is constrained when the graphics card doesn't operate at full capacity.

Ideally you would be at 100% if there was no cpu bottleneck but at 90+ percent you have little to no bottleneck anyways. Regardless don't use ultra settings because they shit on your performance for basically no noticeable increase in visual quality. Turn your settings one step down to very high or high and you will see way better performance.

You don’t require something superior. Are you really unhappy with 110 frames per second in single-player mode? At times it’s wiser to simply savor the experience rather than focusing on speed comparisons.

Thanks for sharing this! It seems the problem is actually with your CPU performance. Appreciate the insights from Brooksie359 and PDifolco!

I'm really pleased with how things are going, particularly since moving away from PS4 gaming. I was just curious if something was off with my equipment. Your gaming tips seem spot on!
