I never look up how my system should perform as long as i'm in playable fps. Only when i'm getting sub 60, then i'm starting to look up if i have some sort of issue. But with a 3080 these cases will be very rare.

Additionally, choosing 1440p won't significantly reduce performance; it merely raises the demand on your GPU.
