Are you ready for the update? (BIOS enhancement)
Can you start Windows from a bootable disk? If yes, you don’t need a repair disk. A Windows repair disk is simply a Windows image stored on a USB or DVD. You can create a fresh Windows image for backup: Windows 10 – https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10 Windows 11 – https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 Pick your media creation tool and install while connecting a USB drive to the computer.
F7 works well, I suggested F6 since it's the first BIOS that supports your CPU on that board.
Generally every time I attempt to launch Windows I encounter a black screen, and after several tries it automatically restarts, as shown in the attached image. I've used Startup Repair without success, restored from backups before the series of crashes, and booted into Safe Mode which mirrored this issue. It seems Windows is upset with me.
Notably, this wasn't happening before I applied the restore point. Once I installed the EC firmware via the installer, it started up and let me log in, after which I was able to perform a blue screen recovery. Restoring it would only result in a black screen followed by repair options.
Reviewed Troubleshooting -> Advanced Options -> Startup repair settings, but received a message stating repair failure, referencing the current log file.
