I understand your feelings. It's been a while since I've played anything. I'm mostly holding off on GTA V for its PC release so I can enjoy it again. Game lengths are getting shorter, which isn't ideal. I'm looking for something that lasts and brings me joy.
It's a cool idea, I'm excited to try it out and see what it offers. I really appreciate strong visuals and engaging mechanics. Recently, I've been enjoying CSGO a lot.
I regret not owning a device that worked seamlessly with my physical joystick, making battles in BF3 smoother and dogfights more fun. XP would be great for actual controllers.
I've been enjoying a lot of indie games because they offer a higher challenge and better skill development. Most of the new triple A titles seem to be becoming progressively easier to overcome and level up, though there are some exceptions. Try exploring indie games as well. I also revisited older titles from the 90s and early 2000s.
I feel you, though I appreciate a solid story and well-thought-out gameplay. I’ve been playing since I was four and I enjoy a solid challenge. If a game becomes too simple, even with great visuals, I just can’t get into it.
Let me know if you'd like to discuss what's new in games instead. There are still many interesting titles being developed.
He claims the latest triple A titles are just updated versions of identical games.

A mix of popular games like Payday 2, grid autosport, Minecraft, Don't Starve, Fazlir, Far Cry 4, Alien Isolation, Shadow of Mordor, Left 4 Dead 2, Mercenary Kings and Burnout Paradise are all great choices. They really stand out.
