Are the games experiencing issues after a new build?
Not really sure, just had torchlight, discord, and then two Firefox instances open. Nothing else. I plan to use more of the PC for Path of Exile updates. Tomorrow I’ll check the RAM usage during startup and see which programs use the most. I ran a memtest with OCCT and it showed no errors.
I would attempt a cleanboot similar to what I described earlier. There is also a utility tool called LatencyMon that can identify specific drivers causing the problem and might assist in diagnosing the issue. The reference link is located at the bottom third of the page. This may suggest a hardware short circuit somewhere. Possible causes include USB devices, loose screws on PCBs inside the PC, unsecured front I/O panels, improperly seated components, cables plugged only on one side, faulty motherboard CPU pins, and more. It could be beneficial to thoroughly inspect all connections and re-seat everything.
I’ll give LatencyMon a try when I get home. I’ll check the PC for any obvious issues, but since I haven’t built a computer before, anything that doesn’t stand out might go unnoticed. I’m probably going to send it back to the prebuilt company now, given how tough it is to figure out the problem. I made sure everything was properly connected.
Edit: I also planned to run a clean boot but forgot to do it last night.
Well, the issue when switching tabs and likely the graphical problem was probably due to record desktop or instant replay being turned on. I've installed the 25.9.2 drivers but the hitching continues in the game. I'm planning to update Windows and then use latencymon, followed by a clean boot if the problem remains.
