I experience graphical stutters and frame rate fluctuations within open-world titles such as Rust, Grand Theft Auto, Minecraft, and Mordhau. However, these issues are absent in games like Rainbow Six Siege due to their smaller maps. My hardware consists of a GTX 1070, an i7-6700K processor, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, and a 400 watt power supply. I’m unsure why I encounter these performance spikes – I can maintain high frame rates only to have them suddenly drop when the game loads new areas or densely populated zones. I suspect it may be related to my RAM or another component, but I need assistance understanding potential causes.
