I am going to reinstall a fresh copy of windows on my 1tb ssd that I know works fine. If that doesn't fix it, I'm trying out each 8gb stick of ram to see if any of them are broken. Will update after that.

Here on this forum folks suggest that going back to Windows 10 might solve the issue. I'm not trying it yet, though if you're starting over with a fresh install, why not try doing that first?

I'm going to try putting up a new version of Windows on a brand-new hard drive. I've checked every single piece of memory one by one and everything looks good so far.

But after updating windows and changing the SSD, Rust should finally start running. It's still very slow to open up and it doesn't run smoothly with a steady number of frames per second.
