I was teasing, but the melting point of those aluminum cases is well over 1000°C. Your PC would shut down long before reaching even 100... This is just an exaggeration. What I meant is that iMacs tend to have bad cooling. A long gaming session can get them very hot, which isn't ideal for your components and can cause throttling, leading to lower frame rates.

It's fair, folks like me and the original poster remain focused on viewing this as a negative point. If they invested more effort and secured more Triple A championships, they'd become a real threat. Plus, a better price-to-performance balance would strengthen their position.

Back then, my CPU hit about 100 unless the temp tracking app was bad. Finding anything was tough. Apart from that, I’d rather use a Mac than a PC most of the time—except when I want to play games.

Steam works on macOS too, along with many titles; unsupported games usually perform poorly regardless.
