Has anyone else observed Apple promoting their iMacs and MacBook Pros as gaming devices? On their website, you’ll see them highlighting high resolutions and smooth frame rates, even though those specs aren’t realistic for modern GPUs. They also emphasize the availability of many popular titles from the Apple Store and the ability to play games with friends on platforms like MySpace and GameCenter. It’s surprising they didn’t mention Steam.

If more titles were released for OSX, the MacBook Air could become a solid choice for casual gaming while traveling. However, those iMacs are generally not suitable for gaming unless you're willing to risk damage or use them for other purposes.
