Any ideas with warzone?
I just moved from a first-gen Ryzen to a third-gen one. I removed Warzone, reinstalled the game last night, and updated all drivers. I’m struggling to hit over 100fps, even with a 144Hz monitor. My system specs are: Ryzen 5 3600x, GSKILL Aegis 2x8 at 2400MHz, Asus ROG B450-F, Evga SC2 1080Ti, 1TB SSD, SATA 3 SSD, and about 75% CPU/RAM usage during games. I’ve lowered settings significantly, but my GPU stays under 10%. No change in frame rate after adjusting everything. Anyone know what’s slowing me down? Or is it just how the game is optimized?
Game configurations? Ignore it. Your memory chip might be limiting your performance. It's moving too slowly.
Ram speed might be the issue, Ryzen really loves and makes full use of the memory bandwidth you provide (up to 3600/3733Mhz), but many high-end CPUs don’t perform as well as expected despite their specs.
You upgraded your CPU and likely reset the CMOS and BIOS settings to ensure it operates independently of other systems. The 2400MHz speed is considered slow for Infinity Fabric. From a RAM standpoint, you're using 2.4GHz memory, which requires around 1GHz faster speeds (3200-3600MHz) for optimal performance. On my first-gen Ryzen, the differences between 2133MHz, 2666MHz, 3000MHz, 3200MHz, and 3600MHz are becoming more noticeable over time.
You should use the 2x8 at 2400 MHz instead, as the other stick is dead.
One stick is inferior to two slow sticks. A single channel performs worse than a dual channel setup. You can adjust the clock speed of the 2400MHz manually if you're experienced, or use online tools like the Ryzen DRAM Calculator to help.
