It's quite effective but requires an investment that many might find prohibitive. I recommend focusing on antivirus solutions rather than internet security. For maximum protection, upgrade to Malwarebytes Pro or Premium. Otherwise, it only removes threats after they've already arrived, not stopping them in the first place.
I’m likely to choose ESET since I’ve had a great experience with it. It’s different from Norton and McAfee because updates are available for free, so you only need to renew rather than purchase the full version each year. Both brands often have sales on Newegg.
