I suggest Malwarebytes plus Bitdefender (it’s not free but it’s a solid choice). Based on the rating detection tool. http://www.clubic.com/article-77079-2-gu...virus.html Avast is also decent.

You mentioned having Malwarebytes and liked it. The term 'Common Sense' isn't familiar to me. Could you clarify what you mean by it? Also, regarding nod32—what are your thoughts on it?

It's interesting you mentioned ESET again—thought it was a solid choice.

It's quite effective but requires an investment that many might find prohibitive. I recommend focusing on antivirus solutions rather than internet security. For maximum protection, upgrade to Malwarebytes Pro or Premium. Otherwise, it only removes threats after they've already arrived, not stopping them in the first place.

Thanks for the suggestion! Avast Premier seems to offer a comprehensive package.

I’m likely to choose ESET since I’ve had a great experience with it. It’s different from Norton and McAfee because updates are available for free, so you only need to renew rather than purchase the full version each year. Both brands often have sales on Newegg.
