25.5.1 Appears to be inconsistent. Had comparable problems before. 25.3.1 works reliably with no complications.

I've tested 25.3.1, which matches the version where these problems began, and 24.12.1 as well.

Updates could be replacing the driver, possibly setting it to version 25.5.1.

I’d also check your BIOS version. Updates can sometimes be beneficial, while other times they might lead to problems.
