they advised keeping it stable around the 7 3700x without overclocking, just to be safe. they mentioned it should work fine but didn’t specify the VRM temperature during upgrades.

It should function, but expect throttling and reduced clock speeds unless you adjust them. The system might overheat, risking premature failure. Are 8 cores necessary for your workload?

Gamer combined editing Adobe Team Photoship with streaming, starting to code Python and HTML in Visual Studio Code. Attempting to stream on Twitch and Discord at the same time failed. Performance dropped below 1600, and since 2017 I believe it's time to upgrade. Noticing much better frame rates at 1600 compared to 3600, but more cores would be ideal.

You can play with nvenc disabled on the GPU, and the Ryzen 5 3600 offers a significant boost compared to the 1600 anyway.
