If you have the money for it, yes. You can also check lowspecgamer from youtube if you're short on money and need to make the current build work for a little while longer. The new CPU won't do anything if he doesn't have motherboard to put it on, and the am4 motherboards don't support ddr3 memory.

I wasn't implying that it doesn't matter. What matters is choosing a good motherboard with the features you need and ensuring it works with your components. The exact model isn't important as long as it meets those requirements.

You should add those items to your budget and consider the upgrade suggestions. Some users may not understand computer details, so they might assume they don’t need to replace their motherboard or RAM and discard the new CPU. Edited June 13, 2020 by Gaires Fixing a simple typo.
