AM5 not starting :( - Updated: I gave up.
I placed an order for slower RAM, though it's a bit delayed. I might find a power supply since there aren't many AM5 CPUs available. The fan header is positioned correctly with a splitter, so I could avoid splitting it. I already have a discussion about Gigabyte, but progress is slow—only one reply per day.
I don't think buying stuff before you're certain is a good idea. There is a chance it will work with the new RAMs but I would always make sure to identify the issue before making new purchase. Also the people emailing you are going to be just as clueless as anyone else trying to help you without access to your hardware. What I meant was calling up the store you bought it from, not Gigabyte. The store that sold it to you will help you a lot more to troubleshoot than Gigabyte could over emails.
Uncertain if B&H photovideo will handle the issue, but I bought the motherboard in September, so my return period is over. It’s really strange—I haven’t built a PC in 15 years and never had to wait this long.
I actually changed my post earlier, you have an AMI BIOS. That means the GPU issue is more about hardware, not RAM. It’s cool how each manufacturer handles their own codes.
It's not the motherboard—I have another board and still see the same issue. The CPU isn't the problem either; I've swapped in a different one and it's still failing. The RAM is identical, but the error persists. The only thing that's stable right now is the power supply, so it should be resolved soon. Ugh, what a frustrating situation!
Confirming the type of power cables and checking the pinouts for any custom configurations.
I surrender. I own two motherboards, two CPUs, two RAM modules, and two power supplies. The same issue appears everywhere, regardless of setup. I’m returning everything I can. Right now I’m stuck with a CPU and motherboard since I can’t return within the window. I’m heading to the hardware forum for a swap. Switching back to an AM4 platform would be a real headache.
