Alert for Windows 10 version 10586. Assistance available soon.
Windows 10 Build 10586, also known as "The November Update," was released for PC in November 2015. By October 2017, it would no longer receive support. Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586 will also stop receiving updates in January 2018. This serves as a reminder for anyone still using this OS to upgrade soon. Devices that can't be updated to Windows 10 Build 14393—due to lack of support or drivers—should consider getting a new device. Please update before October 10th if necessary. It’s early, but I thought it was important to alert people.
I think I'm still on build 1511. There were problems with the anniversary update, so I rolled back and haven't fully recovered yet. Fingers crossed I didn't miss anything important.
This update does not impact Windows 10 Mobile. The Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586 will no longer be available in January 2018.
It shouldn't be an issue—they've definitely stuck to it as long as they need... and then some.
1507 died pretty quickly with nobody really receiving prior notice. It just kinda happened one day..... 1511 is used by around 5% of Windows 10 Devices as of a while ago. This is a problem because some of those 5% are unable to update to newer Windows 10 Versions.
