It functions properly when powered down in power saver mode. The processor reduces to 1.7Ghz at times. Eventually, it ceased responding until I removed all ASUS applications.
I usually used Asus boards most of the time, but the last time I changed I was looking for something new. Maybe it's the features or design that made me decide to switch.
I have installed Ryzen Master and observed readings that indicate the CPU is running at a lower frequency. However, other programs, Windows, ASUS utilities, NZXT tools, and CPUID all show the same high clock speed. The random temperature spike suggests a higher frequency, unless the sensor data might be inaccurate.
Did you refresh the bios? Look in BIOS under "External digi + Power Control" and verify those settings aren’t set too high. If possible, snap a photo of them. It seems like either a modified bios version or ASUS applied a default boost. The temperatures look comparable to my 3700x with top-tier cooling.
Ryzen Master stands out for tracking Ryzen CPU performance in both speed and heat, with better accuracy as temperatures rise. Hwinfo also performs well for me. Asus software isn’t ideal for temperature details but helps control fans and offers a fast readout. My Aida64 panel tends to load heavily—4-5% consistently—which keeps the CPU boost active. This is even more noticeable than expected, since a modern multi-threaded chip only requires 4-5% under heavy load. Turning it off with Aida64 lets fans slow down noticeably. Meanwhile, in Ryzen Master, HWinfo still works, so I rely on it for temps while keeping in mind actual readings might be lower. AI Suite’s displayed temp could be less accurate if the ambient is 40-55°C. After two years of using Ryzen (and FX had similar issues), I now take screenshots of temperature data from RM, AI Suite, and HWinfo.
I understand this comes from a slow period, but I received a reply from Asus about the same problem on their motherboard. They mentioned they’re working on a solution, likely through a BIOS update. With Chinese New Year approaching, it might take a few weeks. Hopefully my CPU and water pump stay stable when I try something basic like browsing.

The only feedback I've received was from a Russian reviewer. I believe it reflects a major update rather than a new board, so it hasn't drawn much attention. Apart from the CPU frequently increasing and generating high temperatures without cause, overall performance appears solid. With a 5600X, I don’t have a processor powerful enough to strain the system, but it managed 4.8Ghz briefly and has stayed stable at around 4.7 most of the time.
