It would be a good idea to use a CPU for Blender. This helps ensure smoother performance and better stability during rendering.
And you suggest a 13700k a while ago, right? Maybe you could clarify that?
Been stuck under a rock?
A 7900 non-x would be much better than what Intel offers.
For Intel the focus is on 13th and 14th generation 65W and above desktop CPUs. Upcoming microcode updates are expected to resolve the core issue, making it a safe decision to purchase an Intel CPU at this time. The problem was a performance degradation; a newer model should perform adequately. However, it’s important to keep the BIOS updated regularly over the next few months to address any new concerns.
The i9 processors were the first to exhibit issues due to their higher power consumption. Unlocked i7 models followed. Reports of problems are emerging for standard 13700 and 14700 chips, with fewer details on i5 failures, though it’s likely the failure rate is elevated.
AMD appears to be a more reliable choice. The 9700X seems efficient when PBO is disabled. Remember to use external storage, back up your work frequently, maintain at least three copies (a faster option was chosen but bulk storage is an alternative), and consider a good USB flash drive for file transport and as a third backup.

I honestly cannot suggest Intel's 13th and 14th generation CPUs at the moment. Although a recent BIOS update has been released, the likelihood of problems remains low. Still, there is a possibility, and until that update is thoroughly tested, I wouldn't advise using an Intel CPU. It would be a regret since these processors were outstanding for industrial applications.
