PCI-E power connections can be unusual. You might notice 2x4 (8-pin) or 2x3 (6-pin) ports, but now Nvidia is attempting to force 2x6 12V HPWR connectors that are prone to melting. It seems they’ve combined a 2x4 and a 2x3 into one. Besides complicating cable organization, this suggests the cable is likely outdated. The 10 series design originally featured 14 pins, which is now well beyond ten years.
It's the old RAM I had in my setup, but I don't have a case to store them in, so I'm just holding onto them until I hand them over to my brother's girlfriend. She's working on a budget PC and I gave her the old RAM.
