primarily online games. Dota, PUBG, GTA V online. However, in the future I believe I will play some games on PC. Although I own a PS 4. It's because you know, there are certain games that simply work better on PC than on consoles.

I've heard a lot about it from so many people, but I didn't buy any parts myself. I got a pre-built PC from Best Buy. They said I could get a 1080ti model, but it got canceled. The tech team told me if I wanted something, they had one available in five days, charging me $2200 for what I thought was a 'Rig 1' compared to the $2100 I'd spent on a similar 1080ti PC... Just haven't reached the 1440p stage yet.

I'm using my 1070 for 1080p ultrawide, it's definitely more than capable but you still have the option to keep max details and avoid any frame drops. It's not extremely powerful, though—certain games can really test your skills.

That addresses my concerns. I've been considering using 1060 instead.

Yeah, I read something saying that using 1070 in 1080p will make everything run at full speed in every game. So definitely 1070 is the way to go.

check my rig 2... I handed it to my brother... he uses the same monitor I have, and he can play almost anything without any issues.

I play Overwatch at low settings using a 1070 with a 1080p screen.
Achieving 180-250 FPS is possible, lol.

my pc struggles to maintain 299-300fps consistently; it switches between the two values. the gpu is using about 40% of its capacity, but reaching full performance when rendering at 200%.
