Advanced cooling for top-tier RTX 3080 builds
Hey there. I've been dealing with this problem for about a year now. I've tried almost everything possible and even reached out to Nvidia and my computer's maker, but they couldn't pinpoint the issue. Whenever I play games—especially Overwatch, The Long Drive, Star Craft 2, and Red Dead Redemption—I experience a sudden freeze lasting between half to two seconds. The graphics and audio keep running, but the gameplay pauses for a brief moment. It's really affecting my competitive gaming experience, and I'm hoping someone can help identify what's going on. Here are the things I've tried: uninstalling drivers, a clean install, reseating the RTX 3080, checking cables, stopping background apps, turning off VPN, removing overlays and monitoring software, and switching to a different RTX 3080 model.

Share your performance numbers during gameplay and under stress. Alienwares often struggle with low temperatures. Check memory health with tools like memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic if needed.
I understand the situation, but I haven't experienced temperatures above 80°C for extended periods. I'll proceed with the tests and share my findings. Thanks for the advice!
Check for a BIOS upgrade for your device. AMD processors with fTPM activated typically include it by default, especially in prebuilt models. The issue described may relate to stuttering on normal Ryzen systems, which AMD resolved with an AGESA patch. The screenshot suggests a recent February release addressing security concerns and likely includes the AGESA update. Verify your exact model before proceeding, as the link provided points to Dell support for the Alienware Aurora R10 desktop.
This is awesome. I will take a look at this right away. Thank you for the help.
