You're finding the current Xbox pad experience frustrating. It seems the wireless version might work on PC with the right drivers installed, but it could be limited by compatibility issues.

Keep going on it, don’t give up just yet. Once you adapt, you’ll miss the gamepad. You’ll feel more connected using a keyboard and mouse.

Using the wireless adapter properly and having the drivers installed works.

It works as long as your PC has a suitable wireless connection. Controllers are great for games that don’t need exact aiming, like action-packed first-person shooters.

I’d rather push into a heap of thumbtacks than use a controller for FPS games, though I often favor controllers for non-FPS titles. My Xbox has a wired controller that works in most games, and the wireless version should function too—just needs an adapter for PC.

An Xbox controller might offer better comfort, but it can't match the precision of a mouse or keyboard.

I understand your perspective... It seems the discussion could have been clearer. The focus should be on the technical steps rather than general criticism.

Experience the same sensation as yourself. For FPS and most RPGs, using a keyboard and mouse is far more advanced, but third-person action titles like Arkham or Shadow of Mordor make the gamepad feel much more intuitive. That's why I configured a Dualshock 4 for my PC—it's super simple to set up.

Sure, I understand. I prefer using a keyboard and mouse for everything else. Games are an exception.
