GPU stopped during Graphics test 1 (+150core, +300mem) which required a forced reboot. The red lights vanished at the hidden temple. Attempted +150core,+150mem.

Have you checked if your GPU drivers are up to date? Your maximum temperatures during testing were also important details.

No more red flashes and it didn't crash at +150 core, +125mem. The highest temperature recorded was 72°C during benchmarking with 3dmark11. I received a score of 12881, which is better than the 12776 from the +162 core, +250mem test.
Ambient temperature is roughly 26-27°C. What might be causing this?
I'm using Geforce 365.10 driver.
Edit: should be +125mem, I'll try again with +150.
Edit: no red flashes but the score dropped by 30 points at +150mem.

Don't worry too much about the score, we're looking at stability. Your temps are fine too. If you're having problems achieving higher memory clocks, try reducing the core again. For example, I've seen 120 core and 340 Memory on a 980, but you'll have to test and find your sweet spot as each card is different. Just remember to do so in increments! Can't emphasise that enough. Start again from scratch if need be, and keep going up/down in increments.
I'd consider oc'ing your CPU too after you're finished with your card if you have an aftermarket cooler, that's entirely up to you though and there are guides out there on how to do it. There is an overclocking section on this forum, you can refer to that for guides on how to OC your chip.

I'm using a liquid cooler for my CPU. I'll attempt the GPU overclock this weekend (starting from +150 core, +125 mem). By the way, I turned on "force constant voltage" in the General settings while overclocking. Is this advised? Since I only followed the instructions in the link guide.
