The focus is on finding the perfect resolution. A frame rate of 60 is ideal for a 1920 x 1080 display. But if you can't go higher, a frame rate of 30 or 1600 x 900 provides a solid performance while reducing strain on your graphics card.

I agree with the reasoning. A balanced division would indeed appear better. My point was that using motion blur and advanced editing techniques, such as those in Witcher 3, can create a much smoother visual than a game running at 40Hz without any blur or processing. The 2:1:2:1 pattern works well for smooth 40Hz, but anything else suffers from the same problems.

You can adjust your monitor's refresh rate via the NVIDIA Control Panel if you have a compatible GPU, and then enable V-Sync for better performance.

I've experimented with running Dead Space at 30 fps and noticed a significant drop in quality, making it hard to play. Using the Xbox controller didn't help much either. When I enable vsync, the game's corpses move too wildly, which really scares me.

I’m only experimenting with Motion Blur, Bloom, Ambient Occlusion, and Depth of Field because I don’t like any of those effects. I’m not into fuzzy glow edges or soft lighting; I prefer clearer lighting and sharp focus so enemies are always visible. The same applies to color correction—how it works isn’t clear without knowing your monitor settings. But these are just my choices, and I understand they might differ from others. Enjoy the games you like!

Additionally, beyond spoken feedback, some console titles employ motion blur to mimic rapid potion effects, creating a smoother visual experience similar to action films.

I've grown accustomed to 60 frames per second, making 30 fps feel off.

The question seeks clarity on why a specific frame rate or visual setting matters. It highlights confusion about resolution and resolution details, suggesting the need for a clearer explanation. The mention of 24fps and v-sync points to technical preferences for smoother or cinematic playback.

It was the weakest moment when my GPU struggled in busy environments during Ultra. Seems like there wasn't much explanation behind it.
