I see that in certain titles, especially RDR2, my frame rate often drops to around 50-60 FPS with clear microstutters. It’s not a major problem, just small glitches. I’m confident my hardware is solid and temperatures are normal. The issue seems specific to Red Dead Redemption 2. I’ve reinstalled Windows, checked the game files, updated everything, and even updated my graphics card drivers. I ran the game in 1440p Ultra settings with DX12, using a 980 PRO SSD with plenty of space. My specs are solid: Windows 11 Pro, 980 PRO SSD 1TB, 600GB+ free, 7950X3D chipset, RTX 4090 with XMP 5600MHz, and I’ve enabled auto settings for cores and gamebar. I disabled fullscreen mode, turned off background apps, and used DDU without success. It’s possible it’s a Windows or game-specific quirk, though it does happen even on older builds. I’m not sure if others experience this, but the microstutters are definitely noticeable.

RDR2 tends to stutter more on DX12. Consider using Vulkan instead.

These minor glitches are typical in games. They vary by title—Red Dead Redemption has more of them than others. It’s usually not a big issue, but if it bothers you, troubleshooting can help.

It varies by game. Which ones? Also, please try to reinstall DISCONNECTED FROM THE INTERNET and perform a fresh install. Regarding your temps during RDR2, what were your readings? Also, did you mean 1% and/or 0.1% lows? Those are the spots where stuttering becomes noticeable.

Nvidia Overlay shows 99% of what you see. Your CPU runs at 60°C and GPU at 63°C. I tested DDU and noticed minor issues only in games like Alan Wake 2—small microstutters, but Red Dead is more frequent.

Your RAM usage is high or at its maximum, which could lead to performance problems. Your SSD is almost empty or completely full. I recall a time when the system stuttered during finals because there were no free bytes left on the SSD.

It's not close to being full, with only 32GB available, so it's not using up much of the memory either.

Changes vary widely between titles. However, for RDR2 it's advised to use Vulkan instead of DX12 for that reason.
