Hello,
I purchased a cooler Hyper 212 EVO to OC that uses a specific processor... My concern is whether this motherboard is suitable for overclocking? I aim to reach a maximum of 4.5 GHz.

It was a budget Z77 motherboard released at a low price point. It originally cost $95. Tweaktown achieved a solid overclock using an i7-3770K at 4.6Ghz, but the higher voltage needed led to increased temperatures compared to other models.

Design for weak power phases isn't ideal for this application. It won't reach close to 4.5 with the current board and the 212 EVO budget.

I would simply enter the BIOS and raise the multiplier to 4.0GHz.
This adjustment should be a reasonable overclock, but keep an eye on your temperatures.

I possessed an ASROCK Z77 Extreme 4 and 6, but they are difficult to locate and quite costly.

I had an ASROCK Z77 Extreme 4 and 6, but they're tough to locate and costly.
Maybe I'll upgrade them to 4.0ghz instead. Thanks.
