Check the bios for an option under the USB section. It might be listed there, though I haven’t turned it on yet. My phone charges via the front panel USB even without enabling it.

Not a unusual name, the only one I can think on top of my head now is USB initialization and default is set to half. This makes the board recognize your USB devices before it boots into windows. When it's set to off, then your USB won't get detected until windows is booted. Don't know if you turn it off, will you be still press del to get back into the bios with a USB keyboard.
