You're experiencing an issue where your LED strip remains powered even when the PC is turned off, forcing you to connect it directly. There may be settings or configurations in your ASUS B150-PLUS that allow it to supply power to USB ports during shutdown. Check the device manager or BIOS options for any power management settings related to USB devices.

It would be helpful to understand why my keyboard stays lit even after the computer has been off for several days.

Check if your system is in a suspended mode before it stops completely.

It seems there might be an UEFI setting to turn off power to USB ports when the system is powered down.

I'll take a look.
It seems like you're considering an ASUS AI charger.

Are you certain about this? Several recent motherboards enter a deep suspend mode by default, which can trigger a quicker wake-up from sleep compared to a full shutdown.

It's the worst it can be—switching off AC power has no effect, only USB remains unchanged.

There are no choices available here. I’ll just abandon this attempt.
