Hi there, I want to be able to remotely wake on lan my PC from my laptop, from a different network like e.g. my phone's 4G hotspot. Is this possible? I managed to config my router so that I can remote in with my phone network but I can't wake the PC. Any suggestions?

It's feasible. I tried several tools and discovered MacigPacket works well as a Windows application. https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/p/magicp...verviewtab To be the top Android app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...olon&hl=en

Ensure the PC goes to sleep. A router usually offers a WOL feature you can enable. If unavailable, redirect port 9 and port 7 for WOL, while port 9 handles WOW - Wake on WAN.

I haven't seen it and definitely haven't attempted it either. It seems to function well.

Keep in mind that WOL and WOW refer to separate ports.

The issue is with the part that doesn't function. Can you try to get WOL to operate?

I can activate it via my local network, but when I switch to 4G from my phone, it won’t respond. As mentioned, I prefer not to connect through my home network and want a separate setup.
