I know this is an "old" thread now, but I wanted to post a update in case anyone else had the same questions.
I just got an email from Ubisoft that they are working with Google to get the game data transferred before give out the free copy of the game. They are working diligently at it, and will provide an update on/before 25 February.
Alright, I just received mine too. It was already available in my Ubisoft account before they even emailed me, so I won’t need to purchase it now.
Received an email today informing me the game was in my library; just a tidbit to alert others who might notice.
