Typically you'd replace the GPU with another one. Because you're using a laptop, you can test it with the CPU's integrated graphics. Try stress-testing using the iGPU instead of the dedicated GPU. I'm not sure how BIOS updates function on Acer devices, but they should work similarly to other manufacturers; just update them in the BIOS. Did this software come pre-installed on your laptop, or did you install it yourself from a third-party source?

Attempted to change GPUs, yet IGPU remains unaffected regardless of selection. Also found issues when trying to set it via Windows or NVIDIA control panel.

Play the same game. It could help. Extra credit if you disconnect the charger.

The issue with games is they often work fine for hours, but sometimes they crash after just a short time. I don’t have enough time to test them because I’m away and won’t return until tomorrow. Another point: unplugging the charger helps because it reduces the device’s performance.

Based on the model and specifications, the iGPU assumes control when the laptop runs on battery. Adjust settings in the control panel (Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings) to your preference.

I turned off the NVIDIA GPU and Ezbench worked for over an hour using igpu. This suggests the RTX 4080 might be the issue. To resolve the crashing GPU, consider checking other settings or alternatives.
