Absolutely, Valve support is quite dependable and supportive.
Steam works smoothly for me, while EA primarily focuses on acquiring game studios for financial gain.
They sell out studios and cut them down. Westwood studios. EA messed up the command & conquer lineup. Early server shutdowns were another issue. They were among the first to offer online passes. Paying to play a game I got used for multiplayer is necessary. Also note they frequently release DLC for Need for Speed titles, with faster vehicles than in the main game. They push DLC aggressively on that series. EA focuses mainly on profits. I appreciate BIoware but the development team has limited reach. The publisher controls release dates and DLC amounts. The studios create solid games, but support is lacking. Why would I trust Valve for a third-party title on Steam?
I just hope EA enhances their tech assistance. A friend of mine recently reached out and asked for payment to resolve an issue they created. I haven’t contacted valve tech support yet, so I’m relying on your message.
