Hey, I just got Assassins Creed Unity and I'm running at a very low 30fps. I understand the game isn't fully optimized, but I've heard there are updates circulating, especially patch 4 being the newest. My question is: do these patches automatically download for me, or do I have to handle them manually? Given each patch is about 6GB, that's a big file size. I just want to know if Uplay does this automatically. - Dot
The launcher automatically downloads all patches, so you don’t need to do it manually.
It should happen automatically. Once online, it verifies the game version and installs updates as needed.
Nice work, Ubisoft, you saved us this time!
The update was applied successfully, but your game is now broken.

Omega driver boosted Unity speed noticeably on an AMD card. Earlier this project ran under 20 frames per second, but now it operates at over 50 fps using identical configurations.
Your setup includes a strong GPU and a capable CPU, which should support running Unity smoothly.
Just fine, you'll have to reduce some details to maximize FPS potential, but it will run fine. The Catalyst Omega driver really did Fix a lot of performance issues for my machine...and others.
