You'd pick the stable setting for consistent performance.

My life is currently all over the place, fluctuating between 40 and 60.

Unstable at 40-60fps, but it stays above 30. I like the frame rate hovering around 40-60 since it feels smoother and less noticeable.

I use a GSync monitor, so 40-60. Haha, I bypass your system.

It could be a reference to a game like "Limit FPS" or similar titles. I'm not sure why, but it seems to appear in some of those games too!

I'd say the 40s and 60s range fits well, though 40-60's are close enough as long as it doesn't fluctuate too much. Seeing 30s today, even if stable, still bothers me. Some folks don't notice much because they've upgraded to V-sync and find it smoother, but from just looking at the screen it looks blurry to me.

If your frame rate keeps fluctuating, but you can tolerate a reasonable minimum, the FPS limiter can help maintain that level to avoid stutters.

Unstable ranges of 40-60 really affect me. Still, I’d prefer those smooth highs over consistent lows.

Turn off the frame rate display. Without it I can play without any issues :3
