Hello everyone, I just built my PC without a GPU yet it boots into BIOS. Inside BIOS, the CPU temperatures spike to 100 degrees and the system shuts down quickly. I’ve confirmed everything is installed correctly, including the AIO cooler, which is working fine and the tubes are warm when active. My processor is an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, the motherboard is B650 Aorus Elite AX, and the cooler is the Icue H115i Elite Capellix XT 280mm. If anyone has any ideas on how to resolve this issue, it would be really helpful.

Both tubes being warm indicates a problem since it shouldn't be cooling properly. Continuing without action could lead to overheating, and heating the water might be necessary.

It seems the device is either overheating or experiencing a hardware issue.

Only a single tube is warm, and without any action it rapidly reaches 100°C in the BIOS before stopping.

It might be happening because the integrated graphics are causing extra heat. You could reduce your CPU's performance in BIOS to help manage temperatures.

The issue isn't related to the iGPU.

It might simply be that it isn't large enough.

Disagree with that assessment. The cooler should suffice, and even if it's too small, the CPU wouldn't reach 100°F instantly on the BIOS screen. There must be an issue with your setup. When you say you "double checked," are you removing the cooler from the CPU and verifying the thermal paste adhesion? I've tried unmounted air tower coolers placed directly on the CPU without fans to test performance before full load—any good thermal interface needs time to stabilize. I’d take a fresh start just to confirm.

i don't trust preinstalled thermal compound, so i would remove it and add fresh out of the tube. make an X on your cpu, the ricegrain is too little now. ... on the other hand.. i don't trust AIO's.. but that's another topic EDIT: and never mix preinstalled thermal compound and thermal paste..
