Upon entering Grand Theft Auto V’s story mode or online, my frame rate consistently hovers between 1 and 5 frames per second. This problem does not occur with other games I play. I've adjusted all graphical options and performed two full re-installations, along with updating my drivers.

My system specifications are as follows:
GeForce GTX 970
Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60 GHz
16 GB RAM
Windows 10

I would be grateful for any suggestions you can offer, thank you.

If you’re experiencing smooth performance with all other applications on your computer, perhaps you've unintentionally modified a setting within the software that you weren't aware of, and this is specifically impacting Grand Theft Auto V. Try launching GTA V in its safe mode to observe if you still maintain 1-5 frames per second.

Verify that all internal components are securely connected within your computer; it’s also possible that one of the parts has malfunctioned.

If you’re experiencing smooth performance with all other applications on your computer, perhaps you’ve inadvertently modified a setting within the software that you’d forgotten about, specifically impacting Grand Theft Auto V. Consider launching GTA V in its safe mode to observe if you continue to experience 1-5 frames per second.

Are you kidding me? Please post a video… update your drivers… it could be a software glitch or a virus as well. Scan your computer… seek assistance from Rockstar Games.

I apologize for the delayed response. I began troubleshooting in recovery mode without a positive outcome.

Apply update version 1.0.7.0 – it could resolve the issue.
I'm unclear on the process.

I recently purchased a fresh motherboard for Christmas; is this potentially an issue? I believe it previously functioned with my older motherboard, though my memory of that detail is unclear.
